Legal and privacy

Atlas Audio Tours is operated by Kada Living Limited (registered company details to follow). Questions about anything on this page: contact us.

Free to use

Atlas is free to use for a limited period.

We collect as little as possible, and here is all of it:

Your location never leaves your phone. If you allow location access, your position is compared against story locations on your device to play the right audio. It is not sent to us or anyone else, and it is not stored.
No accounts, no tracking cookies. There is nothing to sign up for, and we set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Storage on your device. Only when you tap a Download or Save button, your browser keeps the tour pages, audio and map on your phone so they work with no signal. Plans you save are kept on your phone only. You can clear this at any time in your browser settings.
Server logs. When your device asks for a page or an audio file, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard technical logs, such as IP address, request time and address, used only for security and to keep the service running.
Aggregate analytics. We count anonymous events such as a tour being started or a story being played. They carry no name, no account and no location.
Maps. The map is drawn from OpenStreetMap data served by us. If it cannot load, your phone may fetch standard OpenStreetMap tiles, which receive the usual technical request data. See OpenStreetMap's privacy policy.

Personal use. Stories are for your personal, non-commercial use. Audio, scripts and site content are © Kada Living Limited and may not be redistributed or resold.
You are responsible for your own safety. Our tours are audio guides, not navigation or safety equipment. Watch traffic, crossings and other people, keep your eyes up, and never operate a phone while driving. Follow local signs and rules over anything a recording says.
Accuracy. We research every story carefully and cite our sources, but we cannot guarantee every detail stays current. Opening hours, access and conditions may have changed since recording.
Availability. The service depends on your device, your connection and our hosting; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. GPS triggering is approximate and every story can also be played with a tap.
Independence. Atlas is an independent product and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the City of New York or any place or organisation mentioned in a story.
